Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager Purchase, you will play a pivotal role in our procurement process. Your responsibilities will include liaising with suppliers, assessing their offerings, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials or services within budgetary constraints. Your meticulous attention to detail and strategic mindset will be instrumental in optimizing our procurement strategies and fostering strong relationships with our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commodity and category strategies across all business units to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the quality and value of our purchases while maintaining cost-efficiency.
  • Negotiate prices and terms of contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms for Master Group of Industries.
  • Scrutinize contracts and agreements to ensure compliance by suppliers and mitigate any potential risks.
  • Prepare monthly reports, including price variance reports and vendor performance reports, to track procurement metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage the assessment, selection, and development of strategic suppliers to build long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with user departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Administer claims with vendors for defective, shortage, or missing materials, and oversee warranty claims for faulty products.
  • Conduct induction and regular audits of vendors to uphold quality standards and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management is preferred, with a proven track record of successful procurement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in negotiation techniques, contract management, and vendor relationship management is essential for this role.
