MCB Islamic Bank Ltd. is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the Department Head for Treasury Operations, based in Lahore.

Position Overview:

As the Department Head for Treasury Operations within the Centralized Operations Group, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of treasury operations, ensuring the efficient execution of transactions, compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimization of liquidity and risk management processes. You will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the treasury function and driving operational excellence in line with Islamic banking principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Treasury Operations team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the treasury function, including cash management, liquidity planning, foreign exchange transactions, and investment activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize treasury processes, enhance operational efficiency, and mitigate risks associated with market volatility and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including risk management, finance, and compliance teams, to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor market trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes affecting treasury operations, and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the treasury function, leveraging technology and best practices to streamline processes and enhance productivity.

Requirements:

  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in treasury operations, preferably within the banking or financial services industry, with a focus on Islamic finance.
  • Strong understanding of Shariah-compliant banking principles and familiarity with Islamic financial products, instruments, and transactions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive change, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of managing complex treasury operations, implementing risk management frameworks, and achieving operational excellence.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
