Job Overview

As the Deputy Manager Engineering (Machine Manufacturing), you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the production of machinery and related products. You will lead a team, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and contribute to strategic decision-making aligned with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

• Production Management: Assist in managing the design, development, and manufacturing processes for a range of machinery and metal products.
• Cost Management: Support in costing, budgeting, and project feasibility assessments to ensure cost-efficient operations.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to manufacturing schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets. Implement strict quality control measures.
• Team Leadership: Provide direction and support to the manufacturing team, fostering collaboration and optimizing performance.
• Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate manpower, machinery, and materials to enhance productivity and safety.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in machine manufacturing.
• Safety and Compliance: Establish and maintain a robust safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication within the manufacturing department and with other teams.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Manufacturing, or Metallurgical Engineering from a reputable university.
• 7 to 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering roles, with strong technical knowledge of engineering principles and processes.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, interpreting engineering drawings, and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
• Project management skills including costing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and familiarity with 5-S and Kaizen methodologies.
