Role Overview

As an Operational Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks across various functions within alBaraka Bank. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Risk Assessment: Conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential operational risks associated with business processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Risk Monitoring: Monitoring key risk indicators and assessing the effectiveness of risk controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting: Generating detailed risk reports and providing insights to senior management on risk exposures, trends, and recommended actions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, risk management, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in operational risk management, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex information and identify potential risks and control weaknesses.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and risk assessment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate risk findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve risk management objectives.
