Position: Regional Head, Credit Initiation Unit – Consumer Credit
Qualifications:

  • Academic Qualification: Master’s degree or Graduation at minimum, preferably with an academic background in Banking, Accounting & Finance.
  • Required Experience: At least 8 to 10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the regional CIU team, preferably with 2-3 years of managerial experience.
  • Ensure compliance with Consumer Prudential Regulations and Credit Policies.
  • Independently review credit applications for consumer finance products (e.g., Auto, Housing, Personal Finance).
  • Stipulate approval conditions to safeguard the bank’s interests and ensure compliance.
  • Obtain approvals from relevant credit authorities and manage deviations or exceptions as needed.
  • Update Consumer Credit Policy and Product Programs in collaboration with the Head of Consumer Credit.
  • Knowledge of financing documentation, collection, recovery processes, and security perfection in consumer credit.

Core Competencies:

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of Islamic Banking principles preferred.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
